Softies - My latest sewing obsession

After seeing an owl softie at a friend's place, i was inspired to do something similar yesterday.  My daughter said she wasn't that keen on an owl, but would happily take a bird, so i started gathering my thoughts by creating a Pinterest board on crafting birds.  I put on the board not only projects that included bird and owl softies, but also paper and kids projects as well.  

After she went to bed, i got my fabrics together and came up with this -

I'm so pleased with it that i'm motivated to do many more, so i quickly went to the fabric store today and picked up these...

Now what's next?  A flock of birds or other animals?  After seeing that they can look quite alright, Kayla told me that she's okay with an owl, so i guess maybe i'll proceed with making that next.  Stay posted.   

MAAD Recap

Last Friday night was the MAAD event at Red Dot Design Museum.  Unfortunately, due to a massive rain storm, turnout was just so-so.  I did, however, still managed to have lots of fun and introduced many to Sealy T products.  

It's always so exciting for me to see the faces of little girls when they first pass by my table and see all the pretty things that i have made and are selling.
