Bows on Headbands

These came about as a special suggestion from a friend, who insisted that headbands were the way to go for older girls and how the older girls just adore headbands.  

To start personalizing your own, choose from the ribbons from the medium bows selection.  I can make them with or without special embellished centers.  

Below are a couple of samples of headbands that i recently made.

Bow tie hair clips

I've been working on these bow tie hair clips lately and have made lots to get my stock of these clips up for ya'.  These bow tie hair bows come in two sizes.  The small measures approx 5 cm and the medium measures approx 7.5 cm.  I can make them out of any medium hair bow ribbons.

Price

The small bow tie hair clips are S$4 and the medium is S$6 per piece.  

Mini clips

When i was testing out the small bow tie hair clips, i went for a search for itty bitty clips to see if these would be suitable.  I let my friend try one of these and she likes them so much for her 6 month old daughter, she asked me to make all her hair clips with these mini clips on them.  

These mini clips are quite strong and sturdy actually.  And the claw bit on top really grabs onto hair.  They measure 3.5 cm in length.  I won't use these on medium or large bows, but if you want them for any other bows, please specify.  

Elastics / Hair bands

I've been working on these for you.  Found some elastics / hair bands that i quite like, but unfortunately i could only find them in pink and purple for now.  I'm sure i can order others, but haven't quality tested others yet.  

I can attach any medium or large bows to the elastics.  I can also attach medium to large fabric flowers to the elastics as well.  I promised you that i'll expand the range of fabrics for flowers, but haven't had a chance to do that yet, so will do that soon.  Right now, fabric flowers are only available in blue with pink dots, per photo above, or blue with white dots.  Small fabric flower bows are approx 5.5 cm diameter, and medium ones are approx 8 cm diameter.

Fabric flower bow

Been working on getting you more bow styles.  Here's a fabric flower bow in blue polka dots with a button center.  It measures approx 8 cm in diameter.  Can do smaller if you like.

I attached it to a double prong alligator clip.  The reason why i really started looking at these fabric flowers though is because i want to start attaching them to headbands.  I think that'll be quite cute.  I think it'll look nice on elastics as well.  I found a place with some good quality elastics, so will start offering bows on elastics quite soon.

This bow can also double as a decorative flower for dresses or tops.

Styles

As far as styles are concerned.  I think for the time being, to make things simple, i'll be offering these in a selection of solid colors and also polka dots.  If there's a fabric or design you have in mind, let me know, and i'll go a sourcin'.  

Price

To be honest, i'm a bit uncertain on pricing for these.  I'm thinking S$14 per piece.  Do let me know if you have comments on whether this is too high or low.  

Updated Shipping Info

Singapore shipping - S$2.00

So i finally got off my butt and got my shipping rates sorted.  I guess i was putting it off for so long, not only because i had to figure out the cost itself, but also had to look into packaging and such.  I think i got it figured out now - bows will be shipped in air bubble envelopes and there will be a flat S$2.00 fee added for all shipping within Singapore.  If you want registered mail, then the fee will be $4.50 total.  I think that's pretty reasonable, no?  

As for those outside Singers, please email me at info [at] sealyt.com.  Let me know what you want to order and i can tell you what the shipping charges will be.  

I've promised a couple of my friends surprise packages soon as i test out the packaging and Singapore shipping.  So keep an eye out just in case that special someone is you.  =)

Went fabric shopping today and picked up a few pieces to test our for new Sealy T products.  I've actually been working quite hard on researching the right kinds of fabrics to use for the things i want to make.  Not sure if what i got today is really what i'm looking for, but we'll see how it goes.  Will update you once i have something worthy of sharing.  =)

I finally persuaded a real life person to model some of my bows.  Unfort for her though, she kinda didn't have a choice.  ;)  I wanted to post these photos for you so you can see how the bows actually look on and also the different sized bows being offering.

Here's a pic of the different sized bows all next to each other. The lavender is a large (regular style w/ knotted center), the creamy cheesecake is a medium (pinwheel style w/knotted center) and the apple red is a small (pinwheel style w/ simple ribbon center).

As you can see, i can mix and match ribbons per your request, offer different kinds of middles - simple, knotted or with embellishment added and also offer different styles.

Knotted Center

Large Bow w/Knotted Center in Lavender

Here's a large bow (just added) using 38 mm wide ribbon.  This bow measures approx. 12 cm x 9 cm.  It has a knotted center, which i haven't featured before.  This knotted center looks better on medium and large bows.  They'll be standard on the large bows, but you will need to request them on the medium bows.   

I only have lavender and pink ribbons for the large bows at this time, but please let me know if you're interested in other colors and i will see what i can find.

Premium Embellishments

Premium Embellishments - can add any letter you want

Picked up some new embellishments/trinkets today.  I'm listing these under premium embellishments, because they're a bit nicer than the other beads and buttons.  I am now offering silver initials/letters with enamel and rhinestones like the M pictured above.  The crown also has little rhinestones on it and the butterfly is filled with glittered enamel.

These premium embellishments are $2.00 each and can only be added on medium bows like the one pictured below.

Pinwheel Bows

Just added some new bows for you to order.  These pinwheel bows are slightly different than the standard bows I carry.  They tend to appear a bit flatter than the other ones.  Right now, i'm only carrying these in the medium size.  Simply state in your email or order form that you want the pinwheel design if you're interested in one of these.
